“Daizenshuu
EX” previously had a lyrics section with lots of haphazardly
romanized songs and dodgy translations (if the songs were translated at all).
No longer do these exist. Now, thanks to the fantastic work of Julian Grybowski,
we've got completely new romanizations *and* translations of a wide variety of
songs, not only from the original Japanese version of the various DragonBall
series, movies, etc., but also from the various English themes done for FUNimation's
DB dubs over the years.
The
Japanese lyric files have a romanization on the left hand
side, with an English translation on the right; the lines
for the romanization and translation line up with each other,
so that you can not only read along with the song, but understand
what's being said, line by line. Their format is also printer-friendly!
(Read: Julian and I haven't quite figured out how to put them in Daizenshuu EX's site
layout without interfering with the way they're set up, so they're just boring HTML, for now.)
A note from Julian: My translations aren't perfect, but I do
try to get as close to the original meaning as possible. I'm no expert, but I'm improving, and so are my translations.
If you see a mistake, let me know about it!
