Looking for our Music Database, the complete guide to all DragonBall CD releases? It has been moved over to the "Guides" section!

Daizenshuu EX has always had strong roots in DragonBall music. Whether it was offering up rare downloads at a time when it was difficult to actually obtain Japanese CD releases, or cataloguing nearly every CD ever released, we are proud of our musical background. We wanted to continue in this tradition, but walk a fine line into the 21st century. It no longer makes sense to offer even degraded versions of music that is now readily available on services like iTunes, and the constant re-releases in Japan at budget prices makes it trivial for fans to legally obtain legit versions of the music they love.

We are proud to bring you a selection of music exclusively available on our website, completely free of charge, from their original performers. Whether it's a cute parody or a remastering of unreleased movie scoring, this is your best source for genuinely unreleased and rare DragonBall music. New additions are typically debuted in our weekly podcast, and then archived for download on this page at their original bitrate/encoding.

FILE SIZE: 4.28 MB

In episode 196 of Otaku Generation, Bernhard created a medley of anime music in a Chipmunks-style parody. As a special bonus for Daizenshuu EX listeners, he created a full-length version of "CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA". We premiered this song during episode #0174 of our podcast in May 2009.

"CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA (The AFRICAN SAVANNAH)"

ARTIST: Vitek
ALBUM: Anime Music Experience (2005)
FILE SIZE: 6.71 MB

In 2005, Spanish composer Vitek released an album of "new age" arrangements of various anime theme songs. Track 2 is an "African Savannah" version of "CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA". We premiered this song during episode #0175 of our podcast in May 2009. Vitek was proud to provide this song as a free download for visitors of Daizenshuu EX.

"DBZ'S BUU'S SAGAS THEME (CHILL-OUT SOUL)"

ARTIST: Vitek
ALBUM: Anime Music Experience (2005)
FILE SIZE: 5.82 MB

In 2005, Spanish composer Vitek released an album of "new age" arrangements of various anime theme songs. Track 4 is a "Chill-Out Soul" version of "WE GOTTA POWER". We premiered this song during episode #0176 of our podcast in May 2009. Vitek was proud to provide this song as a free download for visitors of Daizenshuu EX.

"LAMENT"

ARTIST: Morganstudios
ALBUM: n/a (premiered on Daizenshuu EX podcast episode #0177)
FILE SIZE: 816 KB

In 2008, Scott Morgan (who worked in collaboration with Bruce Faulconer on the re-done musical score to FUNimation's English dub of DragonBall Z) posted a re-composition of a piece of music from the original Japanese score to DBZ Movie 1 on our forum. This piece of music had never been released on CD in Japan, and we are proud to bring this re-imagination of the short piece to our audience courtesy of Scott.

"TAPION'S THEME (REMIX)"

ARTIST: Zenkai Power
ALBUM: n/a (premiered on Daizenshuu EX podcast episode #0178)
FILE SIZE: 5.45 MB

Many years ago in Internet-time, a fan and friend of Daizenshuu EX under the name of "Zenkai Power" composed a remix of Tapion's theme from DBZ Movie 13. This song was originally distributed on MP3.com, as well as Daizenshuu EX. We are proud to bring it back from the past to a new audience.

"HIKARI FINAL"

ARTIST: Sal
ALBUM: n/a (premiered on Daizenshuu EX podcast episode #0179)
FILE SIZE: 6.03 MB

An anime-equivalent to OC ReMix existed at one point and hosted several DragonBall remixes by "Sal". This particular remix is of Trunks' theme song from the 32-bit video game era, "Hikari no WILLPOWER". It is a quasi-classical/orchestral arrangement heavily based on the original piano with many added elements.

"KORIN & YAJIROBE'S RAP BATTLE"

ARTIST: MarineMechX2 and Innagadadavida
ALBUM: n/a (premiered on Daizenshuu EX podcast episode #0180)
FILE SIZE: 6.25 MB

Our forum member Innagadadavia has an on-going fan parody series on YouTube entitled "Korin & Yajirobe", following new adventures of these two characters. A special "rap battle" video was produced, and we are pleased to present to you a full-quality MP3 of the song used in the original video.

"KORIN & YAJIROBE'S RAP BATTLE" (INSTRUMENTAL)

ARTIST: MarineMechX2 and Innagadadavida
ALBUM: n/a (premiered on Daizenshuu EX podcast episode #0180)
FILE SIZE: 4.89 MB

Our forum member Innagadadavia has an on-going fan parody series on YouTube entitled "Korin & Yajirobe", following new adventures of these two characters. A special "rap battle" video was produced, and we are pleased to present to you a full-quality instrumental MP3 of the song used in the original video, which is a remix of music from the original Japanese score to DragonBall by Shunsuke Kikuchi.

"UNMEI NO HI" (FAN INSTRUMENTAL)

ARTIST: Daniel Käser and Cedric Seiler
ALBUM: n/a (premiered on Daizenshuu EX podcast episode #0181)
FILE SIZE: 4.31 MB

Our German buddy Timo passed along a fan-made instrumental of "Unmei no Hi ~ Tamashii VS Tamashii ~", the vocal song played during Gohan's SSJ2 transformation in DBZ episode 184 made by a couple of his friends in 2008. It has a much more "rock" flair to it than the original version, and goes in its own direction during the middle of the song.

"DRAKIRBALL Z"

ARTIST: Kirbopher
ALBUM: n/a (premiered on Daizenshuu EX podcast episode #0182)
FILE SIZE: 3.46 MB

Our buddy Kirbopher is well known for his inventive and creative works online, and sent us a link to his "Drakirball Z" composition over on Newgrounds. We are more than happy to share the multi-track a cappella medley of songs with all of our visitors.

"GHOST NAPPA"

ARTIST: Ray Parker, Jr. & TeamFourStar
ALBUM: n/a (premiered on Daizenshuu EX podcast episode #0183)
FILE SIZE: 2.82 MB

Unlike some of the other songs we have offered, including another parody song, this literally has no backing in the DragonBall universe... but it is so hilarious and features the caricature versions of dub DBZ voices from TeamFourStar... we basically couldn't help ourselves. Enjoy!

"GOKÛ HISHÔDEN (TITLE THEME)"

ARTIST: Dynamixx Prince
ALBUM: "Goku no Hishouden Volume 1" (premiered on Daizenshuu EX podcast episode #0186)
FILE SIZE: 4.72 MB

One of our forum members rearranged the entire soundtrack to the Nintendo GameBoy game Gokû Hishôden, and the main title theme is as infectious as ever! Absolutely worth checking out, in addition to the rest of the rearranged album.
