If you're already familiar with IRC, here's the nitty-gritty:
Server:
irc.rizon.net
Channel: #daizenshuu
Of
course, some of you probably aren't familiar with IRC...
that's OK. Real easy to get, install, and get going. Here's
a brief run-down of what to do:
(1)
Download mIRC
Easily
done! Grab an IRC client. You may already have one installed, and don't even know it. If you need one, head on over to www.mirc.com, click "Download
mIRC" on the side navigation, and just pick a server
to download from. Run the installation and open up the program.
(2)
Picking a name
Enter
in your name, e-mail address, and desired nickname (along
with a back-up in case it's already taken). After you're
done here, you can go ahead and hit "OK".
(3)
Connecting to the server
You'll
see a blank "Status" window, now. Simply type:
/server
irc.rizon.net
...
and hit "Enter" on your keyboard. You will begin
connecting to the server (it may take a minute depending
upon the speed of your internet connection).
(4)
Joining the channel
You'll
know when you're connected to the server. mIRC will probably
also pop-up a "Channels" window prompting you
to pick a channel to go into; you can just close this. In
the status window, type:
/join
#daizenshuu
...
and you'll be in the room!
