Main Title (Rock the Dragon)
1st English Opening Theme to Dragon Ball Z (dub episodes 1-92)
Music & Lyrics: Shuki Levy
Transcription: Julian Grybowski
Transcriber’s Notes:
Anyone who’s watched the English version of DBZ is likely to remember this song. Used during the first 92 English-dubbed episodes of the series, it was famous among fans both for its rockin’ beat and its to-the-point (some would say “idiotic”) lyrics. Regardless of your opinion, however, this was the first taste many fans had of the dub, even before anyone started speaking. And for that, it has a special place in the hearts of many.

A word about pronunciation, as well: the letter “Z” is pronounced as it would be in American English (“Zee”) rather than British English (“Zed”). That way, the lines “Dragon Ball Z” and “Come get me” rhyme. Just so’s you’re aware.
English Lyrics
(Dragon Ball Z!)

Dragon! Dragon! Rock the Dragon!
Dragon Ball Z!
Dragon! Dragon! Rock the Dragon!
Come get me!

(Dragon Ball Z!)

Dragon! Dragon! Rock the Dragon!
Dragon Ball Z!
Dragon! Dragon! Rock the Dragon!
Come get me!
Dragon! Dragon! Rock the Dragon!
Dragon Ball Z!
Dragon! Dragon! Rock the Dragon!
Come, a-come get me!

Dragon Ball Z!
Dragon Ball Z!
Hey everybody, Julian here. This invisible text doesn’t have anything to do with the song itself, so as long as you’re just casually reading the lyrics on Daizenshuu EX, this doesn’t concern you. However, if you’re reading this on another site, please contact me, at jgjedi@aol.com. I put a lot of hard work into this transcription, and I don’t appreciate those who would try and steal my work, claiming it as their own. So, to all of you worthless assholes out there who do that sort of thing, be aware...I’m watching.
