Translator’s Notes:
Just as in the European and Japanese versions of Budokai 2, Budokai 3 features another brand-new song sung by Hironobu Kageyama. What’s more, Kageyama brought company this time: classic DBZ singers YUKA and KÛKO are backing him up! Of course, American listeners once again got screwed out of hearing it in the game, with an instrumental of the same song instead (it’s still decent, but it’s just not the same).

These lyrics have now been updated with the entire song, as it is on the DBZ 2 & 3 CD single. The previously-existing lyrics have also been cleaned up somewhat, with errors fixed and spacing altered to match the lyrics sheet. Enjoy the new, improved translation!
Lyrics in Japanese Romanized Japanese Lyrics Lyrics in English
舞い上がれ 純白の雲を見下ろす 遥かな空まで
解き放て 自由な魂 風に乗って

そして奴らもやって来る
この星 狙って来るぜ
荒ぶる予感 Fight! Fight! Fight!
俺が地球の盾になる

そうさ とことん止まらず闘う
青い 地球が止まらず 廻るために

立ち向かえ 信念を込めた拳は 誰にも負けない
見せてやれ 未来1を救うのは この勇気さ For The World!

そして何かが変わり出す
闇が はびこる世界も
正義のパワー Right! Right! Right!
悪の弾丸 跳ね返す

そうさ 輝く時代を創るさ
光る 地球よ無限に動いてくれ

突き進め 情熱がたぎるハートで 勝利をこの手に
決めてやれ 俺はいつだって飛ばしてくぜ For The Peace!

立ち向かえ 信念を込めた拳は 誰にも負けない
見せてやれ 未来1を救うのは この勇気

突き進め 情熱がたぎるハートで 勝利をこの手に
決めてやれ 俺はいつだって飛ばしてくぜ For The Peace!

Fly high, looking down on the pure white clouds, up to the far-away sky!
Liberate your free soul, and ride on the wind!

And now, those guys are showing up,
Coming here with their eyes on this planet.
A premonition of violence, Fight! Fight! Fight!
I’m gonna become the Earth’s shield!

That’s right, I won’t stop fighting until the end,
So the blue Earth will never stop turning!

Stand up and fight! A fist that’s full of faith won’t lose to anybody!
Show them! My courage’ll be the one to save tomorrow, for the world!

And now, something’s starting to change,
Even this world where darkness runs rampant.
The power of justice, Right! Right! Right!
Bouncing back the bullets of evil!

That’s right, I’ll create an era that shines,
So move the shining Earth to infinity!

Charge onward! With a heart seething with passion, I’ll bring victory to my hands!
Decide it! I’ll send it flying no matter when, for the peace!

Stand up and fight! A fist that’s full of faith won’t lose to anybody!
Show them! My courage’ll be the one to save tomorrow...

Charge onward! With a heart seething with passion, I’ll bring victory to my hands!
Decide it! I’ll send it flying no matter when, for the peace!
1 The kanji 未来 (みらい) are read here as 明日 (あす). 1 The kanji here read “mirai” (“future”), but the furigana read “asu” (“tomorrow”).
Hey everybody, Julian here. This invisible text doesn’t have anything to do with the song itself, so as long as you’re just casually reading the lyrics on Daizenshuu EX, this doesn’t concern you. However, if you’re reading this on another site, please contact me, at jgjedi@aol.com. I put a lot of hard work into this transcription/translation, and I don’t appreciate those who would try and steal my work, claiming it as their own. So, to all of you worthless assholes out there who do that sort of thing, be aware...I’m watching.
