The Fanart Box (Blue and Purple Nail polish)

I have only been interested in Dragon Ball, or even Anime in general for about a month or so now, and I am beggining to really amaze and/or frighten myself with my obsessive habits. Today my sister gave me a bottle or Blue Nail Polish, and a bottle of Purple nail polish. Upon taking it home (after I decidedly chose not to wear it much) I discovered both colors were strikingly reminiscent of Trunks' and Bulma's hair. So I decided to paint my nails Blue and Purple, ala Bulma and Trunks. ^_^

A few weeks before I had done this, my father had lectured me about my habits of wearing makeup, and weird jewelry, etc. and how I would never want to wear a certain makeup if I hadn't seen it on a model. Now, I'll be honest, I probably wouldn't have worn some things if I hadn't seen them on somebody before. For instance, I probably wouldn't wear glitter on my cheeks if I had never seen an ad for glitter gel. ^_^

But inspired by Bulma and Trunks' hair, and with the help of the nail polish, my creativity was loosed for a short period of time. I soon realized that nail polish can paint other things then nails, ^_^, so I preceeded to paint a box (to put my Fanart in :P) and a hemp/bead necklace I had with the Purple-Blue laden nail laquer.

Whats the point you ask? I never really had much interest in the nail polish, partly because of all my dad's lecturing ^_^;; and partly because I simply didn't want to wear it. (regardless of how many models I had seen wear it....) But when I came to the realization that it was reminiscent of Trunks/Bulma's hair, I suddenly took interest in it, and got creative. And trust me, Would a model be painting her nails Blue and Purple because it reminded her of Trunks and Bulma? I doubt it..... and, besides that, I didn't paint the words "Dragon Ball Z" on a plain white box because a model did....because a model DIDN'T, and probably never would ^_^;;. I did it because I am developing into a real Dragon Ball Otaku. I don't know how it happened, but the point is, I suppose, that it is possible to be unique, even with things thousands of people wear/use (i.e. cargo pants, nail polish, etc...). Because, it wasn't the nail polish that made my nails unique. It came from inside, I knew that it reminded me of Trunks and Bulma, and I knew I wasn't wearing it because a model did. And it SURE wasn't the nail polish that made my new Fanart box unique! ^_^;

Other than that, I'm not sure that whole little story had a real point ^_^;; I guess, in a nutshell, (oh, sure, NOW she puts it in a nutshell you say ^_^;;) all I am trying to say is I can be unique with Purple and Blue nail polish, darnit! (If anyone can, it would be me ^_^; ) And That Uniqueness doesn't come from Nail Polish, or the clothes you wear, no matter how many models have modeled them, its what inside that makes you unique! But be carefull not to conceal it with all the model-wear! ^_^;;
