in the Nowadays of The Dragonball Community

I remember
way back in the good ol'days when people were looking for
Dragonball information in the masses. Now, all of that has
changed. People today want such things as "Full Episodes."
Not only are these illegal, but they can put a dent in the
budget of FUNimation, and further delay the release of any
relativly good anime.
What
fans today don't realize is that money doesn't grow on trees.
Funds must come in to support ever last project under the
CEO's nose, and that's the bottom line.
Full
episodes aren't the only problem these days. Another problem
is the incompitence level of
a majority of the webmasters out there. Using such grammar
as "U guyz helps meh outz" is very distasteful.
Are they unaware of their mistakes, or are they just that
dumb?
Yet
another thing I have found while searching through the endless
supply of crappy sites is the information level. Horrible.
Don't get me wrong though, there are sites out there that
provide great detail as far as information, and respect
should be given to them for that. But, among the crap is
more crap. Too many times have I seen the same biography
of Goku. My god people, has originality totally died? Plageurism
is abound in the community more than ever, and I doubt it
will stop any time soon. I myself am a hypocrit, indeed.
You can never tell when someone has stolen WRITTEN content.
They can edit it as they please, and act as if they had
taken the time to write it all out. Piracy - don't you just
love it?
One
thing that puts a ding in the community these days, compared
to the earlier 2000s, is the constant change of layouts.
People, come on. It gets to the point where I'll visit one
site and visit it again the next day and it will be completely
different. Cartoon sites shouldn't focus on layouts. Graphics
sites should. The only reason webmasters constantly change
layouts is because they either get bored or can't find anywhere
to put their information due to the excessive amount of
images around the pages. Ridiculous, AND selfish. Webmasters
generally do what they want to make their site better, and
not rely on the fans opinion. Viewing statistics actually
helps webmasters with their site design. 65% of the world's
population views webpages through a 14 inch monitor. Now,
if you have the smallest damn font imaginable... then it's
going to be pretty tough to see the information on the site.
Back,
once again, to the information issue. The vast majority
of sites I have seen tend to not have any information at
all. They all consisted of "random images," or
"Sites of the ____." People, seriously, get it
together. If I were your teacher at school, and you handed
me a paper with nothing but pictures all over it, I would
fail about 85% of you. Web work actually has been proven
to mirror one's work at school or in the office; and with
the poorly written information I have seen...the world is
soon to be doomed.
All-in-all,
I would have to say that the Dragonball community is ever
so slowly going downhill. I mean, who can keep up with something
so fast? No one. But when it wrecks, it's totalled. We have
to slow down people. Keep a layout. Stay happy. And for
godsake, work on your grammar and information writing abilities!
