Daizenshuu EX - Multimedia - Music Database - CD Singles

Ahh... the fun of Japanese CD singles. What’s interesting about most of these is that they’re 3 inch CDs. That’s right... the little tiny ones! How do you play them? Well, most CD players can play them. If you’re using a tray-loading type player, look for a little indent in the CD holder in the middle of where the CD goes; if you see one (it’s obviously three inches in diameter), place the CD single in there, and go! If you have a Discman-type player, just pop the hole on top of the spinny thingie like normal, and you’re set.

Review - VegettoEX

A fun little CD. What’s nice is that both songs included on here are both in the DBZ series, and not just one with the other being some other random song (for example, an extra "image song"). "WE GOTTA POWER" is the 2nd opening theme to DragonBall Z (episodes 200-291), and "Boku-tachi wa Tenshi Datta" is the 2nd closing theme to DragonBall Z (episodes 200-291). Karaoke versions of both are also included. A very nicely rounded CD single.

Review - VegettoEX

Fans may be interested in knowing that the tune Tapion plays on his ocarina does show up on a CD... somewhat! The song performed here by Shin Ôya is a vocal version/interpretation of the song, completely re-scored and performed exclusively for this CD release. It's a very haunting version of the song. Fans are treated to this version of "Tapion's Theme" (so to speak) and the phenomenal and uplifting closing theme to DBZ movie 13, complete with karaoke versions of both.

Review - VegettoEX

"DAN DAN Kokoro Hikarete ’ku" was released as a CD single to promote its use as the ending theme to the DragonBall 10th Anniversary movie ("The Path to Ultimate Strength," known in the US as "The Path to Power") and as the opening theme to DragonBall GT. The song and its karaoke version are present, as well as another of Field of View’s songs, "Dear Old Days," which seems like your standard poppy-ballad.

Review - VegettoEX

Another well-rounded CD single. "Hitori ja Nai" is the first closing theme to DragonBall GT, while "Nichiyôbi" is simply an extra song performed by the artist. "Hitori ja Nai" is a peppy pop song (while you're probably already familiar with, anyway), while "Nichiyôbi" is a little slower.

Review - VegettoEX

Worth purchasing solely for the title song... it’s THAT good. The fourth ending theme to DragonBall GT is a very rock-type song, with "Try Again" (just a random WANDS song) being a pop/dance-type song. My favorite GT closing theme.

Opening themes to DragonBall Z 3 (Budokai 3) & DragonBall Z 2 (Budokai 2). Both songs are highly enjoyable, and the included karaoke versons make for even more fun. Since the single is 2005 vintage, it can still be purchased from CDJapan and Amazon.
